Zan Ray has been in the hair industry for 50+ years: owned and sold four successful salons. She created the first apprenticeship program and was privileged to create the very first Aveda Concept Salon in Austin, Texas. Her professional hairdressing career was focused on training her staff in the areas of ‘Extreme Customer Care’, haircutting and hair coloring. She has trained many stylists to help them reach their full potential. One notable stylist who apprenticed with Zan is celebrity hairdresser Ted Gibson, of “What Not to Wear” fame. To this day, they remain close friends and Ted turns to Zan for guidance
Zan Ray has been coaching clients all over the United States since the 1980’s. In addition to the hair industry, Zan Ray is also experienced in helping others in industries, such as, agriculture, public relations, and finance.
As a coach, Zan’s focus is working with salon owners and hairdressers to clarify, meet and exceed their goals, revenue growth, new client acquisition, product sales, staying focused, maintaining clarity and most importantly, having personal fulfillment.
Zan’s passion is coaching others to reach their full potential at each and every level.
MEET TOM!
Tom became a registered insurance agent and securities agent and learned many fascists of the financial industry. During this time, Tom owned and operated Collins Financial Services offering financial consulting services to small businesses.
Following Tom’s retirement from the State of Texas Environmental Agency in 2019, Tom and his wife, Zan Ray, combined their consulting and coaching businesses to form Elevating My Business, a beauty business coaching company focused on independent and small business owners to increase their revenue and profit. Tom applies 50 years of successful project and financial management experience developing financial freedom plans for professionals and business owners.
As of 2022, the features of Elevating My Business were expanded and rebranded to become “Global Beauty Business Academy” giving business owners coaching from the beginning to the sale of their business.
